Macular Degeneration of the Retina and Papillary
Dysplasia
of the Optic Nerve
Although papillary dysplasia of the optic nerve, or the more frequent macular degeneration of the retina, have different causes, they are principally degenerative diseases, and are very often related to a genetically determined lack of activity of the granulocytes, cells that are supposed to “eat away” the smallest plaques on the arteries of the retina. The remedies normally given, such as vitamin A, Gingko, and aspirin or Trental, are old-fashioned and irregularly effective. There are better approaches to micro-circulation than Trental and more effective plant treatment approaches than only Gingko.
Here at Paracelsus, we have good long term results in macular or retinal dysplasia, which is often also called “optic nerve dysplasia”. Many patients have experienced an increase of their vision, and many more have had the degenerative progress stopped.
The nerves need the following treatment to rebuild structure and maintain function:
• Phospholipids in high doses (unsaturated fatty acids, according to individual blood analysis)
